Toronto Developer Announces Collaboration with Japan's Takashi Murakami

Located at the vibrant corner of Adelaide and Duncan, the 63-storey hotel and residence will be in collaboration with Japanese artist Takashi Murakami, Chicago’s Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architects; renowned for the next world's tallest and most luxurious skyscraper Jeddah Tower in Saudi Arabia (as well as Central Park Tower in New York) and Canada’s first Katsuya by Sam Nazarian's Disruptive Group/sbe. ⁠

Freed is recognized for some of Toronto’s most iconic properties and ventures including the Thompson Hotel (since sold and renamed 1 Hotel Toronto), the Art Shoppe Lofts + Condos, Fashion House, as well as resort communities in Muskoka Bay, Blue Mountain and Horseshoe Valley.⁠

Located at 240 Adelaide Street West, the Freed Hotel and Residences is scheduled to begin sales this March, with residential units ranging from 270 sq. ft. to over 9,800 sq. ft.⁠
